A screensaver featuring Wadiz's character Jinguk-i, built and distributed in-house.
A 2020 project to build an in-house screensaver featuring Wadiz's character Jinguk-i. Looking at the cute character on a calendar from the year-end party, I wanted to make something meaningful for my colleagues, with the idea that the character could fill the screen time of coworkers away from their desks.
The goal was to capture the time of colleagues who, even away from their desks, were surely off making something better somewhere, and to build and distribute a clock-style screensaver that coworkers could relate to.
Built the web page on top of the Screensaver.js open-source library, and built the bundle to fit the screensaver structure per its guide. To resolve Windows compatibility issues, provided an alternative installation method using the web-page-screensaver program, completing the in-house rollout.
Completed a meaningful side project that colleagues actually used and enjoyed. It made me realize that execution and user empathy create more impact than technical difficulty, and left me with the insight that even a small idea can deliver real value through execution.
